I searched and could not find any places according to the Chinese characters that Woodson suggested. There are many Chinese characters for the romanization “Guangdong San, Lam Hoi Yuen, Fuk San Jun” you provided.
Assuming that this is a Cantonese romanization – some of our Cantonese literate Forum members need to taks a look at the maps below to see if they can identify a place that is similar in pronunciation to the romanization you provided.

You’all probably figured this out by now but for the record:
On the maps –
Nanhai is “Lam Hoi” is 南海 (North Sea)
Foshan is “Fuk San” is 佛山 (Budda mountain)
Forget the “Jun” and “Yuen” 縣 & 鎮 because they mean “Town” “city” “Village” and depending on the era – those names and boundaries will change.
Whoops – sorry – SOUTH SEA 南海
BTW – There are greenways galore now in the Guangdong Province.
You can easily bike from town to town, city to city. Much like a European ski resort!
